Happy Sunshine Gang Volume One

The Happy Sunshine Gang
Musings of our Madness!
no. 1
Musings of our madness
This publication has been created so that we may publish our writings without censorship by our government, through the wielders of knowledge of the Communist Arts (our Evil Comrades). This underground newspaper will contain the musings of the members of the Happy Sunshine Gang. They are published here for your reading pleasure or nightmare. Please, enjoy.

FPS: More Than Solving Problems
When I say FPS, you probably either have no idea what I’m talking about, or you are thinking of another FPS (there really are quite a few things it stands for). No, I mean FPS as in Future Problem Solvers. FPS is a very enjoyable after school activity that teaches teens the FPS problem solving process. Though knowing the FPS problem solving process can come in handy at FPS booklet writing sessions, and for teams and individuals that qualify, the FPS state bowl, the FPS problem solving process can help one out a lot in life. The FPS problem solving process can be applied in school, the work environment (especially when working with businesses and economics), and in other places. While doing FPS, students also get to learn about topics they normally wouldn’t if they weren’t in FPS.
FPS can also help students to understand what the future could be like, and what it’s like in various other places in the world today. Each topic exposes students to things that the typical teenager wouldn’t be learning about, and expands their vocabulary.
FPS is an international program, now headed by the former middle and high school coach from Waunakee, that allows students to problem solve in a competitive environment. Much of FPS is independent, which helps students learn to be self reliant.
Though many people don’t know what FPS or whether they want to do it or not, they offer an FPS ‘day away’ to kick of the start of FPS. This gives students an ability to test out the program and get a taste of the problem solving process before deciding whether to do it or not. The program is offered through the Pathways department of the district, and has great coaches helping with it.
FPS is always fun, and though work is obviously required, it all pays off when you can go to state or impress your teachers with things you learned. It is an enjoyable, fun program that can really prove useful in life.

Knowledge corner

“Everything is a conspiracy. Everything.”
-The Book of Truth, verse 2
Advice
If people think you are dead, that is an advantage.
Random fact
Zombies were real people who were poisoned, buried alive, dug up two days later, and used as slaves by ‘doctors’ in the Caribbean.

Serial
The Happy Sunshine Gang will publish serials with each issue, most of which were going to be given to the wielders of knowledge of Communist Arts (Evil Comrades), but were denied and censored by our government (one of the reasons for starting this underground publication). This first one may be at least somewhat interesting, but it may be awful. We won’t tell you what to think now; we’ll save that for some other time.

Please Don’t Knock on the Walls
Part I
The Great Abramovich was not in the habit of having guests in his dressing room before a show, but when he did, his manager knew not to ask any questions. The rare strain of people who are acquainted with illusionists often have strange and often deadly secrets, and it’s usually better not to speak to them for as long as possible.
But on this night, and with this particular guest, Jonathan Flannery, Abramovich's manager, was having a hard time obeying this self-imposed rule.
The mysterious guest had arrived two hours before the show was due to start, and had demanded to be let in. When Flannery had asked who he was, the man, covered from head to toe in black clothing had simply said, “He will want to see me.” So Flannery had lead the man into the theater, and started up the stairs, and was surprised when the guest waved him away, claiming he didn’t need a guide. Flannery was sure he hadn’t seen this particular man before, he knew he would have remembered.
Flannery watched him limp up the stairs, then shuddered. He got the feeling that tonight was not the best night to hang around. He turned away and went back to his normal work, wondering how it was that Abramovich always made friends out of the strangest people.
